John Tracy, President

John Tracy is an independent communications and marketing consultant who makes his home in Anchorage, Alaska. John spent 23 years as the News Director and main anchor at KTUU-TV, the NBC affiliate in Anchorage. A multi Emmy and Edward R. Murrow Award winning reporter and producer, John’s television career carried him to every corner of Alaska, where he made life-long connections with community and cultural leaders.

In 2008, John left KTUU and became an owner/partner at Bradley Reid & Associates, one of Alaska’s premier full-service advertising agencies. John specialized in creating memorable campaigns for clients such as Providence Health and Medical Center, ConocoPhillips, and Alaska Tourism. In 2010 John created the messaging for Senator Lisa Murkowski’s historic write-in campaign.

John left the advertising business in 2017 and currently consults for The Foraker Group, Alaska’s leading nonprofit capacity building agency. John teaches classes on marketing and communications, and works with Foraker’s clients on organizational communications and development.

John is a member of the Alaska Broadcasters Hall of Fame, and serves on the Board of the Alaska State Fair and Alaska Music Archives. A former drummer who has been known to enjoy the company of real musicians, John describes himself as a motivational listener. His internal focus group includes his wife Donna, his three children and two grandchildren.

Stephen Rollins, Treasurer


In 1998, Stephen Rollins was hired as the Dean of the Consortium Library at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Since 1999 Steve Rollins served as the Chair of the Statewide Databases Coordinating Committee and as a member of the SLED Advisory Committee, which negotiates and licenses a variety of online resources and services for the state of Alaska.  He is one of the founders of Alaska’s Digital Archives, the Alaska Library Network, UA’s institutional repository, the Alaska Music Archives, and the Alaska Library Catalog.  The Alaska Library Catalog system serves more than 85 public, university, school, and special libraries in Alaska.

Sandra Rollins, Vice President


Before becoming a stay at home mom to raise her two children, Sandra Rollins was the Library Director at Kenai Peninsula College in Soldotna, a community  campus of UAA. Since then she has served on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Library at Loussac Library and on the board of the Bear Valley Elementary PTA. She is currently the owner of Lupine Road Designs, an online jewelry business.  Music has been an important part of her life and she has a deep appreciation for the way music impacts all lives.  As a lifelong Alaskan, she is fully invested in preserving the history of this state.
